Abstract: The FEM model of a double-layer single span symmetrical rigid frame was established in this paper, by changing the linear stiffness ratio between beam and column, the rigid frame’s stability with sway under the symmetrical load was analyzed, and the buckling load of rigid frame with linear stiffness ratio between beam and column was obtained, then the calculation length of corresponding column could be obtained too
Currently, the theoretical calculation of the compressed member is usually based on displacement method, which is based on certain assumptions, and the results were widely used in engineering.
For buckling load, so the calculation length coefficient μ for columns is generally used in engineering for stability design, the equation of calculation length coefficient μ is showed as Equation (8).

It is more and more wildly used in aerospace engineering, civil engineering [1] and shipbuilding fields [2] for weight reduction, vibration isolation, noise reduction and resisting impact.
In engineering structures, using single sandwich plate is rarely, and stiffeners or ribs are usually bonded with plate as a whole to undertake various loads.
So in engineering practice, using sandwich plate to replace classical thin plate can increase the buckling critical loads greatly.

Keywords: Adding light steel structure storey; CFRP; Transformed-connection joint; Pseudo-static test; Seismic performance
Abstract: Based on the pseudo-static tests among three different types of joints (traditional planted-bar joint, the CFRP strengthening joint and the transformed-connection joint) between concrete frame and adding light steel storey, the research was carried out to contrast the seismic performance of these joints.
At present, many scholars devoted to software simulation analysis and feasibility analysis on the adding storey structure[ 4 ], but these study deviated from the practical engineering.
Test Survey Based on an actual engineering of adding stories with light-weight steel structures on a three-layers of building, three kinds of joints were designed and produced (traditional planted-bar joint JD-1, the CFRP strengthening joint JD–2 and the transformed-connection joint JD-3).

Abstract. In this paper, a fatigue test of a X80 pipeline steel specimen with a semi-elliptical defect was performed to study the fatigue propagation stages of the Surface cracks.Based on the obtained test data, a three dimentional finite element procedure was developed for the crack growth estimation of the surface crack in the specimen.
