Mechanical Behavior Study on Connections of Multibarrel Tube-confined Concrete column with steel beam

Abstract: In order to meet the necessity of the code for seismic design of buildings: Principle for strong connections and feebleness member.
Mechanical behavior study on connections of multibarrel tube-confined concrete column- steel I-beam by finite element analysis method,probe into connection ductility, energy dissipation capacity,resisted loading capacity,crack development and so on,All this research can provide reasons for engineering. 1.
Haunched section value is small,at the end of which the stress is suddenly changed,the stress surpass steel ultimate tensile stress,the stress increment will obviously lag behind deformation,the plastic hinge will appear and move out complex loading nodal area,the beam will occur obvious plastic deformation before node destroying and will not happen nodal brittle fracture.SP-3 has T-shape stiffening plate part,sress less than steel ultimate tensile stress,the stress value is large and distribution uniformity range between 0 and 50 mm, (2) As seen in Fig.3(b), the stress value of nodal area with steel pipe shell is relatively larger especially to SP-3,this position loading is complex because of the function of stiffening plate,during the engineering design give advice that increase the steel pipe depth of this part in case of this part pipe occurs yield destroying,but abruptly changing stress value of SP-1 and SP-2 is not obviously and less than steel yield point
