Ti2AlN ceramic have been prepared by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis method using Ti, Al and TiN mixture as raw materials under different N2 pressures.
The purpose of the present study is to investigate the phase composition and micro-morphology changes during self-propagating high-temperature synthesis of Ti2AlN materials from Ti, Al and TiN powder mixtures in different N2 pressures to get purer Ti2AlN materials.
Titanium (Strem Chemicals, <45um, 99% purity), aluminum (Strem Chemicals, <45um, 99.8% purity), and titanium nitrogen intermetallic compound TiN (prepared by SHS method ourselves) powders were used as the starting materials. 20 wt.% TiN was used as additive in Ti and Al metal powders, with the mole ratio of Ti:Al=2:1.
Summary Ti2AlN ceramic have been prepared by self-propagating high-temperature synthesis method using Ti, Al and TiN mixture as raw materials under different N2 pressures.

Coherency loss of Al3Sc precipitates during ageing of dilute Al-Sc alloys D.
The need for cost reduction due to the high price of scandium has led to the development of dilute Al-Sc alloys.
The particular system exhibits the highest specific hardening as compared to the other commercial Al alloys [1,2].
For the production of the billet, high purity aluminium (99.999%) and an Al-2 wt%Sc master alloy had been used.

To consider exchange and correlation effect to the dielectric function, the local-field correction function proposed by Farid et al is employed in the present study.
For describing the electron-ion interaction we have used the potential proposed by Jivani et al [6-13], which is of the form:
In this study, the exchange-correlation function proposed by Farid et al [14] is employed to study various properties of HgX systems investigated by pseudopotential method.

El Kadi and Ellyin [6] as well as Justo et al. [7] showed that a slight variation of the test frequency leads to an identical number of failure cycles, therefore the test results were presented in the following evaluations and in the combined result presentations independently of the test frequency.

Therefore, two-dimensional SIMS concentration distributions are used to investigate lateral straggling of Al and P implanted in 4H-SiC.
By experimentally investigating depth profiles, it has been shown that in 4H-SiC channeling along [1120] is most pronounced in the case of Aluminum (Al) [4].
Figure 2 shows two-dimensional Al implantation distributions for medium dose, low energy, room temperature and different channeling directions.
Both Al and P implanted samples show a dependency of lateral straggling on the channel opening.

Effects of Low Frequency Electromagnetic Field on the Solidification Structure of Al-4.5%Cu Alloy during Level Casting Process Xiangjie Wanga, Dandan Chenb, Huixue Jiangc, Gaosong Wangd, Qingfeng Zhue, Jianzhong Cuif, Key Lab of Electromagnetic Processing of Materials, Ministry of Education, Northeastern University, Shenyang 110004, P.R.
The experiment is performed on the Al-4.5% Cu alloy, and the experimental results show that with the application of the low frequency electromagnetic field, the macrostructure and microstructure are changed greatly.
In this research, conventional level casting and LFEC are combined to produce Al-4.5 wt% Cu alloy with a relatively low melting temperature, a high thermal conductivity and a wide solidification range, and experiment casting ingot with the diameter of 200 mm was carried out.
