N719 [(n-Bu4N)2-cis-Ru (dcbpy)2 (SCN)2](Solaronix Co.), one of the best sensitizer for the DSSCs with the same structure as N3 dye [cis-Ru(dcbpy)2(SCN)2][6], was used as reference substance.
Figure 1 gives the structures of three Ru(II) bipyridyl dyes. 0.01g H2PtCl6·6H2O and 0.38g m-TiO2 were added into 175ml of 2.0M Na2CO3 aqueous solution in the photoreaction cell (Pyrex glass) in sequence.
