Abstract A mathematical formula to calculate relative horizontal displacement of ground building due to blast vibration of surrounding rock for bored tunnel by drill and blast method is propounded on the basis of differential equation for dynamic vibration, and the mathematical expression is deduced by means of Laplace transforms.
