The ultrafine sized particles disperse in the Ni-P matrix, which in order to improve the surface properties has attracted much attention.[1,2] It is believed that the second phase ceramic particles can enhance the hardness and wear resistance of the Ni-P coatings, due to their grain fining and dispersive strengthening effects[3].
