Characteristics of Electrophoretic Deposition-Assisted Polishing Using Bamboo Charcoal Hsin-Min Lee 1, a, Kun-Ling Wu 2,b 1 Department of Mechanical Engineering, Army Academy, 32001 Taoyuan County, Jhongli City, Taiwan (R.O.C.) 2 Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tungnan University of Technology, 22201 New Taipei City, Taiwan (R.O.C.)
It is because the ceramic SiC particles are non-conductive and their deposition in pores of bamboo charcoal surface will form a ceramic insulation layer, which would slow down electrophoresis, and in turn undermine the bonding of the SiC particles to the electrode.

Dependence between Workpiece Material Hardness and Face Lapping Results of Steel C45 Justyna MOLENDAa * and Adam CHARCHALISb Gdynia Maritime University, Faculty of Marine Engineering, Morska 81-87, 81-225 Gdynia, Poland ajmolenda@am.gdynia.pl, bachar@am.gdynia.pl Keywords: one side lapping, C45 lapping, workpiece material hardness, lapping results.
The high demands required today by manufacturing engineers for machine parts and tools necessitate very precise machining.
Fundamentally, benefits and effects of the lapping process must be studied, shedding light on the scientific basis that transforms lapping from art to engineering [6–9].
