Preface The Proceedings CURRENT RESEARCH IN ADVANCED MATERIALS AND PROCESSES includes 92 papers presented at the Sixth Yugoslav Materials Research Society Conference (Yu-MRS Meeting) held in Herceg Novi, Serbia and Montenegro, September 13-1 i\ 2004.
Materials science and engineering incorporate acquiring of the knowledge on materials synthesis and processing, their composition and structure, properties and behaviour and their functions and potentialities and its application to the devices, machines, units and other final products.
Dragan Uskokovic, President of Yugoslav Materials Research Society and Director of the Institute of Technical Sciences ofSASA at the Sixth Conference of Yugoslav Materials Research Society YUCOMAT 2004, Herceg Novi, September 131 \ 2004 Honourable ladies and gentlemen, dear colleagues, I have a great honour and pleasure to greet you in the name of the Yugoslav Materials Research Society and the Institute of Technical Sciences of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, at the beginning of the Sixth YU CO MAT Conference and to wish that the program in front of you be the source of new information and useful discussions.
Previous five conferences, held in 1995, 1997, 1999, 2001 and 2003, and their Proceedings published by Trans Tech Publications from Switzerland in its prestigious Materials Science Forum Edition, are visible proof of this.
Impact factor of this journal was in last few years varying between 0.5 and 1.0 and it is in the middle of the list of journals in this field.

In one way, the die is made of resin materials, which can be used several hundred times but can not recycling, in another way, the die is made of low-melting-pointed alloys, which can be used more than one thousand times and the material can be recycled.

Analytic procedure for dissimilar materials welding problem by using developed in-house solver is applied on butt and lap jointed model.
In this study for applying aluminum alloys for one of the traditional materials used for automobile body, cold rolled steel has been assumed.
Numerical simulation of dissimilar material welded model Model and material properties details Due to the difference of material properties in welding of dissimilar materials like aluminum and steel, the thermal and mechanical behavior during welding became more difficult to predict and analyze than the case of uniform and same material.

(5) From equation (5), with the height of core materials increasing, the edgewise compressive elastic modulus of core materials in x direction was decreased.
Prediction of side tensile elastic modulus of core materials We applied a load P to core materials in y direction and made cellular as an analysis object in this test.
(1) Edgewise compressive elastic modulus of core materials in x direction was decreased with the height of core materials increased
(2) Side tensile elastic modulus of core materials of ripple structure sandwich composites in y direction was in direct proportion to thickness of core, and it was in inverse proportion to height of core materials.
