In their studies, the experimental data were described reasonably well by the Langmuir isotherm and unexpanded perlite gave better results than the expanded one.
The equilibrium data was then tested with the Langmuir isotherm model.
Since the experimental data fits quite well to a straight line, it was concluded that the adsorption follows the Langmuir model.
Fig.3 shows the Langmuir fit of the equilibrium benzene adsorption data by A-EP.
The adsorption data was fitted to the Langmuir isotherm model which gave a good regression (R) value.

Specific sensor interface electronics has been developed and coupled
with a universal, sensor invariant, network interface with common core system software, user

These are based around a low-power microcontroller that can have software loaded into it for particular sensors and which offers significant scope for on-sensor/interface data manipulation and storage.
The network of sensors can then be managed by a network controller, such as an embedded PC, to continually gather data on the state of the structure that it is deployed in.
The data will be used for through-life management of the aluminium-hulled boat and will inform future Defence acquisitions.

The use of TBCs, along with internal cooling of the underlying superalloy

The first reduction can be achieved by lowering the density or elastic modulus of the coating, e.g. introducing pores, or increasing the mean atom weight of the coating materials, e.g. by doping; the second reduction can be achieved by creating more reflective sites in the coating.
For EBPVD TBCs, it is the intra-columnar nano-porosity that accounts for the reduction of thermal conductivity over that of bulk YSZ.
If the decomposition of the β-NiAl takes place locally or at a different time in different places, then the volume reduction will also be localised.
This curious result, although the reason is not clearly understood, suggests that caution must be taken to interpret the PLPS data.

The present work data correlation between eutectic cell size and UTS presented in Fig. 5 shows that different cooling rates provide different linear dependencies between the eutectic cell size and UTS.
As seen in Fig. 3 the experimental data covers a broad range of eutectic cell sizes.
