The paper is focused on strengthening of loadbearing reinforced concrete vertical members by composite materials.
These modern materials are used more and more in the last years.
Use of FRP materials for strengthening The strengthening of vertical compressed members with composite FRP materials significantly increases the possibilities of design and offers also many advantages.
It has to be stated, that the same disadvantage also applies to other mainly used materials like steel bandages.
