Density Functional Theory is a quantum mechanics method that studies electronic structure in many-electron system.
Xiaolei Zhang[9] has used quantum chemistry density functional theory to study the reaction between CO and oxygen carrier Fe2O3.
Table 1 listed the crystal cell parameters for optimized structure shown in fig 1.

X-ray diffraction patterns shows that the deposited films are found to be hexagonal structure with preferential orientation along (100) plane.

Among state-of-the-art techniques available at present, 3DAP looks most promising and suitable for the study of grain boundary chemistry [9].
It allows the quantitative measurement of the chemistry and position of solute at near atomic-level, even for light elements such as C and N.
Therefore, in order to avoid the possible influence of Ga ions on grain boundary segregation and the structure, it is important to remove a top surface layer of at least 50 nm depth by field evaporation before the analysis.
When the crystal structure of the materials is known, Miller indices can be assigned to the planes in FIM images, leading to a determination of the crystallographic orientation of the grain.
