The key feature that permits the semi-solid shaping of alloys is a dendrite-free microstructure, with globular α-Al grains dispersed in a low melting point matrix phase [5,6], which may be handled like a solid, but flows readily when sheared.
Average length, average distance, and the number per unit area of β-needles are represented in fig 7.
In fig 7c, by increasing the iron content, the number of needles per unit area has enhanced.
Fig. 7: a) Average length of β -Al5FeSi needles (µm) b) Average distance of β -Al5FeSi needles (µm) c) Number of needles per mm² in the samples produced by as-cast, cooling slope and thixoforming processes.

The influence of hydrogen on metals and welded joints is the subject of number of studies [2-4].
A large number of factors affect the diffusible hydrogen amount in a welded joint.
Among other factors, which can change the concentration and the distribution of hydrogen in joint, is the number of beads which seem to be essential [6].

It is predicted that the total amount of data would be 40ZB by 2020, meaning that each person will possess 5247 GB data. 40ZB is almost 47 times of the overall grains of sand in the World, and if we save this 40ZB data into Blu-ray discs, the weight of the total discs would be equivalent to that of 424 Nimitz aircraft carriers.
The results of graduate admission and employment status of 2013 undergraduates Class Training plan The number of students Rate of registering for graduate exam Rate of graduate admission Rate of employment Computer science class 200901,software engineering class 200901 Normal training plan 40 22.5% 44.44% 45% Computer science class 200901,software engineering class 200901 Outstanding Engineers Training Plan 40 37.5% 66.67% 67.5% Third consideration is class autonomous learning mode guided by interests.
The number of courses completed by current computer undergraduates is close to 2 to 3 times as much as 20 years ago.
At the same time, we should realize that as the number of young teachers is increasing, it is difficult for them to acquire success in teaching, academic research, and teaching reform.

Moreover, dispersion strengthening mechanism may not be completely applicable because the nanoparticles mainly locate at the grain boundaries [9, 12].
A great number of interface failures result in a higher tensile strength as compared to the non-reinforced aluminum [3].

Asphalt pavement water damage: that is under the influence of water or freeze-thaw cycles, due to the action of automobile wheel dynamic loads, hydrodynamic pressure or vacuum aspiration repeat cycles have happened when the water enter into pavement interspace, water gradually into asphalt and aggregate interface, so that adhesion of asphalt gradually lose, bitumen membrane shedding from the stone surface (strip), asphalt mixture out grain, loose, and then the pit phenomenon will form.
At present, for the asphalt cement fiber mechanical and overall performance, as well as fiber to improve the mixture of high and low temperature performance have done a large number of studies by domestic and foreign scholars[1-5], more valuable design ideas and construction experience are obtained, but specifically for the fiber to improve the water stability of asphalt mixtures is still lack systematical awareness.

Incomplete grain boundaries can be clearly seen in this figure, which confirm that the Ni–B alloy coatings are actually a mixture of nanocrystalline and amorphous phase.
The coatings is mainly made of amorphous phase, nanocrystalline cluster is few in number.

Excessive heat during welding of aluminum alloys results in large and equaled grains in the weld bead [6].
The equation for the SNR of HB characteristic is (1) Table 3 Control factors and their levels Table 4 Summary of experimental layout Where is the number of tests in a trial and is the D/W ratio of weld bead.

Whereas surface hardness was indeed increased, large numbers of chromium nitrides were precipitated in the surface layer, which deteriorated the corrosion resistance of the steel.
The specimen was etched slightly with a solution of 5wt% (HCl:HNO3 = 1:3) in ethanol to reveal the austenitic grains of the steel substrate.
