After 72 h of incubation, the cells cultured onto EGCG-b films showed no proliferation with few local attachment (Fig. 1B & 1C), suggesting that EGCG released from the film may exert potent anti-proliferative activity attributed to its molecular structure with para hydroxyl and gallate groups responsible for antioxidant effects.
