Abstract
Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 ferrite powders were synthesized by a hydrothermal method.
In the doped ferrite cases, the extra 5wt% dopants of Mg+2, Co+2 or Cu+2 seem dissolve in the spinel structure, despite of the stoichiometry of Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4.

Abstract: Calcium carbonate (CaCO3) whiskers were firstly treated by sodium stearate, and then blended with polypropylene (PP) to prepare the composites by a closely intermeshing co-rotating twin-screw extruder at 200℃ .
Owing to their small dimension and perfect mono-crystalline structure, inorganic whiskers, such as potassium titanate whiskers (K2Ti6O13), aluminum borate whisker (Al18B4O13) and silicon carbide (SiC) , exhibit high strength and modulus, heat stability, wearing resistance and other excellent performances , especially their strength is close to the maximum theoretical value predicted by the theory of elasticity.

ABSTRACT
LiFePO4 powders were prepared by a citric acid complex method.
The structures of the prepared powders were characterized by X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD; PW1370, PANalytical) using CuKα radiation at 40 kV.

The crystal structure, optical property and the morphology of thin films TiO2 were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV–Vis spectroscopy, Environment Scanning Electron Microscope (E-SEM) and Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
The concentration effects of TritonX-100 surfactant on the structure and the physical properties, such as homogeneity, grain distribution and roughness were studied.
In addition, the evaluation for catalytic activity of the films towards the photodegradation of Reactive Yellow17, a textile dye of azo structure[4], in aqueous solutions under UV light were also presented.
The photocatalytic activity of TiO2 thin films was evaluated by decolorization of Reactive Yellow17, a textile dye with azo structure[4].
