Introduction
Since the discoveries of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) and single-walled carbon
nanotubes (SWCNTs) by Iijima in 1991
[1] and 1993
[2], much attention has been attracted due to their
unusual structures and properties, such as high surface area, high electrical conductivity, good
chemical stability [3].

Pt-based nanoparticles with controlled morphology, structure and composition are catalytically active for both anodic (methanol oxidation reaction, MOR) and cathodic (oxygen reduction reaction, ORR) reactions of the direct proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) [1, 2].

The first one extending from 25°C to 150 °C was related to the loss of water, the second one in the range of 250~400°C was associated with the protein chain breakage (helical structure) and peptide bonds rupture[9].
