In both flight experiments the first development of morphological instabilities was observed at grain boundaries also existing during planar growth.
In this case a specific number of cells was overgrown and degenerated so that the distance between the remaining cells increased.

Single crystals of Ni3Nb and Ni3Ti and crystals with directionally oriented large grains of Ni3Sn were grown by the floating zone method under a high-purity Ar gas flow.
Since there is a large number of hcp based GCP type compounds with c/a>1.60, new compounds showing anomalous strengthening behavior are expected to be developed.

For refractories that comprise a variety of particles, the size of selected representative volume unit should not be less than the maximum grain.
Where N is inclusions numbers of composites; c0 is volumetric fraction of matrix; cr is volumetric fraction of inclusion; Keff is the effective volumetric modulus of composites; K0 is volumetric modulus of matrix; Kr is volumetric modulus of inclusion; Geff is the effective shear modulus of composites; G0 is shear modulus of matrix; Gr is shear modulus of inclusion; Kp and Gp are computed by Eq. 3 and Eq. 4.

Dissimilar welding often leads to low mechanical properties owing to the metallurgical changes such as micro-segregation, precipitation of secondary phases, presence of porosities, solidification cracking, grain growth in the heat affected zone (HAZ) and loss of materials by vaporization.
With further increase in number of cycles, the scale becomes darker.

Under normal circumstances,a large number of waste drilling mud will be left at the drilling site, and then leached into the ground by rain after long-term accumulation.
Finally they had preliminary proved that the waste drilling mud can be used as compound fertilizer according to examine the indicators, such as compressive strength, moisture content, available nutrients, pH value, particle size and grain rate.

Introduction The capability of MMW signals to penetrate obscurants has been well understood for a number of years, but fabrication of a real-time passive MMW imager in a cost effective system has been very challenging.
Figure 1 shows predominantly c-axis peaks of the individual material layers, while no a-axis oriented grains or domains were observed in the YBCO film implying excellent and uniform quality epitaxial grown materials.
