Dynamic Triaxial Test
Tested Materials and Apparatus
The rock-fill materials were furnished by construction organization from a face rock-fill dam in West China.
Table 1 Physical properties of rock-fill materials Sample type(NO.)
One thing to be mentioned is that rock-fill materials are seen as granular materials, and the structure and characteristics are different from those solid materials in Mechanics of Materials.
Different from solid materials, the properties of granular materials are studied under confining pressure, and the properties of the materials are affected by confining pressure.
International Journal of Rock Mechanics & Mining Sciences, 2007(44): p. 1-13

Integrating material science insights and advanced computational techniques, our model encompasses crucial nonlinearities, including material behavior and geometric variations.
Due to its economic availability and durability, it remained one of the preferred construction materials but at the same time its non-homogeneity posed a significant challenge when it comes to analysis and design.
Fiber models can define complete nonlinear stress-strain curves of materials, effectively representing important aspects of material nonlinearity[6].

Hybrid materials are attractive for a large range of applications from medicine and biotechnology to telecommunication systems and fuel cells.
The polymeric materials were characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and IR-spectroscopy.
Nowadays, proton conductive membrane materials for fuel cells are of great interest.
