Keywords: flat vierendeel structure; maximum stiffness; most reasonable height
Abstract.
In engineering design, the engineers due to lack of the theory on the flat vierendeel structure’s stiffness, just depend on experience to design and ignore stiffness optimization, which results in the material waste and the cost increasing.
Therefore the stiffness analysis of the flat vierendeel structure is very important, and should attract a great attention for the engineering design and reducing the cost.
