So it is of great significance to simulate the initiation and propagation of the crack in composite materials using finite element method.
In the study of composite materials crack propagation, the XFEM has been widely used.
In order to study the effect of particle to crack propagation in composite materials, XFEM was used for the simulation by Chang Ye [5].
