In Eq.1, Pc: bearing capacity of the composite foundation; Pp: bearing capacity of the pile; Ps: bearing capacity of the inter-pile soil; m: area replacement ratio of the composite foundation; λ: bearing capacity reduction coefficient of the composite foundation, whose value changed with the change of the type of the pile end soil: when soft, λ= 0.5-0.9; when hard, λ= 0.1-0.4.
Due to the reliability analysis method in the soil field is far from mature now, and the foundation engineering contained a number of uncertainty, so each parameter of this method, such as the random variables, distribution and correlation coefficient, should be determined by the engineering practice, as far as possible through the field data.

The initiation and growth of every new crack will reduce the available load-carrying area and this reduction causes an increase in stresses at critical crack tips.
Based on the statistical analysis of experimental data and numerical simulation, the calculation model of residual splitting tensile strength, high temperature, and the fly ash content is established.

Benefits of implementing “sensored or smart bearings” include reduction in the maintenance and replacement costs of bridges, and increase in the safety and reliability of the entire bridge system through continuous automatic monitoring.
Their limited experience can be summarized as follows: 1) Bearing response measurement (displacement and/or strain) is feasible with proper consideration to, for example, sensor type, sensor location, data acquisition mechanism and system, etc. 2) Bearing response has not been interpreted and correlated to the structural (both superstructure and substructure) behaviors such as deterioration, overloading, and other environmental impacts. 3) Embedded fiber optic sensors (FOS) have been the most popular choice for instrumented bearings, due to several advantages: i) small size for accuracy and low requirement for space; ii) no need for electrical wires in an out-door environment, which may corrode over time; iii) ability to sustain high temperature; and, iv) affordable cost. 4) The instrumented bearings reviewed above are different from real bridge bearings in configuration, which significantly limits their application due to required extra work and associated cost increase.

Experimental results showed that the new method was very effective for suppressing the harmful vibration of flexible structure, indicating some important laws about vibration suppression of different mediums by analyzing data.
Therefore, the more the fluid pressure is, the greater the flexible beam vibration suppression ability of the fluid is, and the vibration reduction is better.
