Materials and Method Acetic acid, ammonia, ferric chloride (FeCl3), and NaOH were purchased in pro analytical grade from Sigma Aldrich, and zinc acetate was purchased in pro analytical grade from Merck.
The crystal phase and morphology of the obtained materials were determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD; Rigaku SmartLab, Japan) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM; Jeol JIB-4610F, Japan).
This indicates the potential use of ZnO derived from waste materials for proper methylene blue degradation.
