Introduction In recent years, One-dimensional nano-structure materials have become a new research hotspot in field of materials science because of its special advantages such as optical, electrical, magnetic and other properties.
Electrospinning technique is an effective method to prepare one-dimensional nano-structure materials and has been widely used in preparation of inorganic nanofibers recently [1].

A Vision-based Gap Detection Method during the Placement of Large-scale Composite Structures The work is subsidized by Natural Science Fund of Jiangsu – model predictable on-line detection in automatic fiber placement for composite materials (BK2008401).
Introduction Advanced composite materials such as carbon fibers (CF) and boron fibers (BF) have much good properties in civil aircraft [1].
Pat.No.5562788 [4] discloses a method of and apparatus for detecting flaws in composite materials after they are placed on a substrate by an imaging system including a laser analog displacement sensor.
During the placement, as the materials of substrates among adjacent layers are same, the feature of gap is not clear or stable when acquiring the surface image using common methods.
