Grinding discs for grinding machines are relatively expensive, and the physical properties of sand affect the quality of cleaning: because of the low hardness, ordinary quartz sand cannot effectively process the surfaces of structures made from many materials; the speed of sandblasting when using ordinary sand is quite low, which leads to increased consumption of abrasive; quartz sand after sandblasting with its help cannot be reused, since most of it turn into dust due to the low strength of the particles; it is not always possible to remove the primer layer, which later has a great impact on the life of the new paintwork.

Because of its beneficial use in concrete structures for more than a decade, the Natural Protection Agency (EPA) of the United States is currently reviewing the collection, storage, transfer and reuse of fly cinder to ensure that it is properly figured out to limit potential harm to human health and the environment.[4]

Further findings [20] indicated that the sulphides and chlorides in sea water caused accelerated
corrosion in sea structures, ships and other service equipment when they are either in contact with
sea water or located near the coastlines.
The corrosive nature of sea water on sea structures, ships and other sea service equipment are not of interest of this study as many of the affected equipment are sophisticated and of high-tech; continual development of new materials of high-tech in developed countries will definitely solve the problem of corrosion in the marine industry.
