Beginning from the surface, the hardness profile characterizing the hybrid welding introduces instead lower hardness with respect to those of the laser welding for around the 60% of the thickness of the sheet, probably because of the greatest heat input of the MIG (77% of the supplied total power) to which smaller speeds of solidification are associated that results in the formation of a structure with larger grain.

The distributions of the pore size and wall size in the MBG specimens were measured from a number of TEM micrographs.
