The Taguchi method has been widely used for designing high-quality products at low cost in engineering industries because the method provides an acceptable and effective solution.
According to National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) professor Sheu [11] in his article “The Jiji Earthquake–Disastrous Earthquake Effects on Civil Architecture”, partition walls enhance and assume a portion of the earthquake resistance in low-story buildings.
