Failure modes revealed by pulling the screw perpendicular to the grain include splitting and rolling shear failure caused by stress in the perpendicular direction of the grain, according to research by [9].

There are large numbers of forests, minerals, water and other natural resources in these vast areas.
At present, through the research for a large number of tunnels in cold regions, we find that the occurrence of "freezing" or "frost heave" is normal phenomenon in cold areas which is also objective.
Generally, frost heave can not happen in terrane and coarse-grained soil.
For hard foam used in the exterior of the underground insulation pipe, it changes little through retest after a number of years.

For instance, Haynes et al. [19] showed that Hf tends to segregate to the grain boundaries of the Al2O3 scale and, as these authors concluded, cause a reduction in the outward diffusion of Al3+ cations.

These empirical models consist of a certain number of parameters that are adjusted for each drying experiment.
To determine the model that best fits the experimental results of a given product (fruits, vegetables, legumes, grains, ceramic materials, etc.), it is important to calculate and compare quality fit measures, such as the coefficient of determination (R2), the standard error (S), and the maximum absolute error (Emax).
The coefficient of determination is calculated using the following equation: R2=1-i=1nyi-yi2i=1nyi-y2 (3) where yi is the observed value (obtained from the experiment), yi is the estimated value (predicted by the model) of yi, y is the mean of the observations, and n is the number of observations.
Results and Discussion All models presented in Table 2 were tested using the Statistica® software, and the best-fitting model for the cited experiments in Table 1 was the two-term model, as follows: M*=c1exp-k1t+c2exp-k2t (6) The empirical parameters c1, k1, c2 and k2 were estimated using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, with a convergence criterion of 1×10–6 and a maximum number of iterations of 1000.

River sand with the maximum grain size of 5mm was used.
After the load was increased to a certain value, the number of cracks in the pure moment zone did not increase and all cracks started to extend toward the compression zone.
At failure, a few wide cracks developed in concrete layer; however, in UHTCC layer, a large number of fine cracks can be seen in Fig. 10.
Moreover, with an increase in reinforcement ratio, the degree of improvement is less significant; (3) only a few wide cracks are developed in the control beams at failure whereas, in UHTCC/RC composite beam, a large number of fine cracks are developed in the UHTCC layer.

AMD water is generally red, low turbidity, low pH value, and rich in a large number of metal ions such as iron, aluminum, manganese, copper, lead, zinc, arsenic, antimony, nickel, cobalt, chromium, cadmium and mercury and other toxic elements[4].
If a large number of AMD discharged directly into the surface, not only will destroy the soil aggregate structure, make soil hardening, result in a large number of vegetation and crops in the mine withered, but also seriously pollute the surrounding water, leading to the death of aquatic species, and caused huge threat for the health of residents and livestock in the mining area[5-7].
The solid content in sediment mud is up to 20%~30% through sediment reflux, precipitation sediment crystal and coarse graining, which accelerates the speed of sludge settling and separation and saves a large amount of sludge disposal or transportation cost, resulting in improving the ability of handling water over 50%.

This can be explain using the theoretical formulation of the overall void ratio of mixture comprising soils with varying grain sizes.
It shows a reciprocal relationship where the increase of the cement content increases the strength of the mixture due to the hydration products of the cement which fill in the pores of the matrix thus enhancing the rigidity of its structure by forming a large number of rigid bonds in the soil.
This causes significant increase in the number of equivalent standard axle load (ESAL) and consequently, the lifetime of the road will increase respectively.

The grain size is almost uniformly distributed, but still with almost evenly agglomerates.
The XRD results data is processed using X'Pert High Score Plus software that is installed in the instrument and matches to JCPDS 00-49-0207 reference numbers for the LTO spinel phase and (JCPDS 01-076-0318) for TiO2 rutile [7].
Morphology of silicon nano-particles Fig. 4 shows the EDX mapping results that show the distribution of a number of oxygen on Si nano-particles.
Therefore, by increasing the number of silicon nano-particles, it resulted in the agglomeration of silicon nano increasingly preventing the lithium ions during intercalation and de-intercalation process.

AMCs are being used to produce a number of products in the automobile, aerospace, naval, and nuclear industries.
In the literature, there have been a number of studies on RHA particles in aluminium matrix composites.
Mostly at grain boundaries, some uneven porosity can be noticed.
(iii) The compaction pressures are 150 MPa, 175 MPa, and 200 MPa, with the higher number resulting in a higher hardness in the manufactured composite.

There is a fixed number of active basis functions in one knot span.
However, due to the required high number of real time data calculations, an online machine control with NURBS was still not possible for multi axis control with a 650 MHz CPU (Central Processing Unit) system.
The granules themselves can be distinguished by a number of factors, including chemical composition, size, size distribution, shape and concentration, while the effect of each of these factors may be important or insignificant.
