Introduction
Magnesium alloys are becoming increasingly attractive for engineering applications because of their particularly low density, excellent damping capacity, good recycling capacity and machinability.
Due to the concave profile, the liquid metal advanced preferentially along the mold walls and the liquid-EPS products possibly agglomerated in the center regions, thus likely remaining entrapped in the solidified casting.
Materials Science Forum, Vol.419-422 (2003), pp.67-72

Abstract.
These dislocations move into the work material as the tool advances.
Fig. 4c with a crystallographic combination of (110) [001] shows that a great number of dislocations to be ~ -45º to the cutting direction are generated as the tool advances.
Forum, Vol. 628-629 (2009), pp.381-386
