Abstract.
Several lower modes can reconstruct fluctuating pressure field to the accuracy meeting the requirement of engineering.
Analysis of VIV Behavior of Twin-separate Rectangular Sections based on POD POD is a method used to derive the most efficient coordinate for observing individual phenomenon which finds its popular application in wind engineering [6]. is fluctuating wind pressure which is in principle a fluctuation component with a zero mean. is spatial dependence function of fluctuation wind pressure field which is defined as: (1) then, POD analysis can be derived to a eigenvalue problem ,which can be written as: (2) Eigenvalues and corresponding eigenvectors can be worked out after the solution of eigenvalue problem.
In practical, when we solve engineering problem, we may need several, instead of all eigenmodes to meet the engineering accuracy.
The reconstructed wind pressure field based on POD can meet the requirement of engineering accuracy.
