Abstract.The paper seeks to analyze the necessity of setting functional layer between base and surface course of cement concrete pavement.
Asphalt mixture is a kind of viscoelastic plastic material; the deformation resistance ability depends on cohesive force of asphalt and the extrusion force of mineral aggregate particles.

Analysis of Crack Arrest by Electromagnetic Heating in Metal with Oblique-Elliptical Embedding Crack

The result shows that due to heat concentration around the oblique-elliptical embedding crack tip, the crack tip temperature exceeds the melting point of materials and small welded joints are formed by metal melting.
Temperature exceeds the melting point of the material and the tip is passivated.

Materials and Test Description The materials used in the experiments were prepared by chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) technique of SiC into a 2D fibrous perform consisting of T300 carbon fiber woven fabrics (with an average of 1000 fibers per warp and weft bundle).
