The study of oxygen jet effect property on molten slag and steel will be helpful to develop the effect of oxygen jet. [1-4] Compared with conventional measures, numerical simulation will bring a potent measures to research physical phenomena and chemical reaction between supersonic oxygen jet and the molten bath of EAF under high temperature around 1500℃ to 1600℃ during steelmaking, which is difficult to be observed by conventional measures [5-6] and will take a further development of the application of supersonic oxygen jet. [7]
By Fluent 6.3, based on the model of VOF, the paper will develop a mathematical model of three-dimensional three-phase flow in the molten bath of EAF equipped with side accessorial oxygen lances, have a basic study of the transient phenomena of jet impingement on molten steel, so as to lay the foundation of further study of physical chemistry reaction in the molten bath of EAF.
