In this report, MPA was employed as a ligand, selenium powder and zinc acetate as Se source and Zn source, respectively, and the effect of ammonia on the fluorescence properties of ZnSe QDs was investigated.
2 Results and Discussion
2.1 Structure and morphology characterization of ZnSe QDs
The prepared ZnSe QDs was analyzed by using XRD technique and the XRD pattern as shown in Fig. 1.

Abstract: Pt-catalysts supported on pristine carbon nano-tube (CNT) and pristine carbon nano-fiber (CNF) are extremely activity for the selective oxidation of CO in H2 at room temperature, where the CNT is the home made CNT by flowing CH4 through Ni-MgO catalyst and the CNF is a commercial CNF (VGCF-X of Showa Denko Co.) prepared by vapor phase growth using ferrocene catalyst.
The CNT prepared from CH4 over a Ni-MgO catalyst had a multi-wall fish tail structure with outer diameter 10 - 50 nm, inner diameter 3-7 nm, and surface area 140 m2/g, and the amount of Ni-MgO in CNT was 8-10 wt.% [9].
