It is worth mentioning Cr(III) oxide (-Cr2O3) is a green solid which adopts the corundum structure [41], Cr(IV) oxide (CrO2) has a rutile structure [41] but it is a metastable phase (decomposing at T > 288 C and pO2 = 1 atm) [42], and Cr(VI) oxide (CrO3) is a red-orange solid Figure 1.
whose structure consists of chains of CrO4 tetrahedra that share vertices [41].

Very telling examples of a multiple Kirkendall plane is provided by experiments on diffusional growth of AB-intermetallic with B2 (CsCl-type) structure in incremental reaction couples.
We recall that most of the B2 phases have a wide range of homogeneity around the stoichiometric (1:1) composition [14] and are broadly classified into two different groups in terms of defect structure, which compensates the off-stoichiometry composition.
Such a peculiar defect structure has great influence on the diffusion behaviour of the intermetallic compounds, which can change drastically with deviation from the stoichiometric composition [15].
Most likely, the observed difference in the thickness of the phase layers can be attributed to the different orientation of grains developed in the reaction products, and the lattice diffusion in tetragonal structures of TiAl and Ti3Al as well as in hexagonal TiAl2 displays a strong anisotropy [25].

From the simulation result they found that the nano cone structures enhance heat transfer from solid to liquid and they have significant effects on temperature and pressure histories, net evaporation number, as well as the density distribution in the system [18].
Thermal transport between solid as well as liquid is reported to be largely dependent on various factors like solid-liquid interaction strength, temperature [19], surface wettability [20], molecular structures [21] and interfacial geometry [22].

Analytical TEM investigation of cross-section thin foils revealed that a much more complex
multicomponent layer structure is produced.
It appears that the differently oriented α platelets within the β grains form a Widmanstätten structure, similar to that described in Ref. [22].
LM has shown [23] that improving hardness by nitrididing brings about important changes of the phase composition and structure of the surface layers.
A relationship between the properties of this zone and its micro- and nano-structure was established.

The hydrophobic nature of the lignin component, combined with the fibrous and porous structure of OPEFB, enhances the potential as an effective adsorbent, particularly for oil.
Micrographs of sample at magnifications ranging from 500 to 2000x were used to explain the surface and cross-section structure of the fibers.
Similar surface structure had been observed on the raw Empty Fruit Bunches (EFB) in several studies [10-12].
Fiber morphology, such as pore structure, surface roughness, total surface area, and the existence of the wax layer, are important feature for the ability to absorb oil [7].

If the alloy is quenched from austempering temperature after too short austempering times, a significant fraction of martensite is formed additionally to the α + γHC structure.
This discrepancy at low stresses in ductile materials like copper and stainless steels has been attributed to a transient of the dislocation structures evolution with straining [3, 28].
However, the microstructure quality assessment diagrams based on Voce parameters (Figs. 4-5) assess the microstructure of materials that is related to the dislocation motion hindered on statistical bases by obstacles on the slip planes (interfaces, grain boundaries, precipitates, dislocation structures, etc.).
