All illustrate that the second industry is this region's leading industry due to its high proportion of advanced modern manufacturing industry together with its continuously rapid development momentum.
Generally speaking, the increase of production factors and productive ability in the second and third industries serves as a symbol of advanced industry structure.
Changzhou has long featured in processing industry, so in its industry reconstruction, Changzhou should aim at developing modern processing industry in the first place, makes use of high technology to innovate and strengthen traditional industries such as machinery and electronic industries; and adjust structures to develop technology-intensive and exterior-oriented industries as well as strengthen the construction of its pillar industry such as power machinery, engineering machinery, power transmission and transformation equipments, and textile and clothing industries.
