Laser shock plastic deforming of sheet metal is a new technique which realized by shock
waves induced by high power pulsed laser interacting with materials, this technique has a
remarkable advantage to some materials hard to plastic form.
As the peak pressure of shock wave induced by laser at the sample surface is greater than the dynamic yield strength of the materials, the metal sheet yields and deforms.
