Therefore, the development of new metal alloys for the adhesion of diamonds based on the introduction of niobium (Nb), aiming at the substitution of Co in Fe-Cu alloys, in the direct use in cutting tools of the ornamental and civil construction sector, is relevance in the scientific area.
While the niobium obtained by the hydrogenation - grinding - dehydrogenation (HDH) process, with a average particle size of 44 μm, it was kindly provided by the Department of Materials Engineering - School of Engineering of Lorena - DEMAR-EEL-USP.
