Abstract: The standard wheel and damped wheel model were established in ANSYS, through modal analysis to study the vibration characteristics of them.
(4) Compared with standard wheel , in the same modes the natural frequency of damped wheel occur relatively small changes, the reason of it may be due to the impact of the additional mass change the vibration characteristics of the damped wheel. 6 Acknowledgment The authors wish to acknowledge the support and motivation provided by Jiangxi natural science foundation (No.2010GQC0030), Science Foundation of The Jiangxi Province Education Department (No.GJJ11119), the Science Foundation of East China Jiaotong University (No.10TM01) as well as the open research fund of MOE Key Laboratory of High-speed Railway Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University (No.2010-HRE-01).
