The band gap energies was evaluated using Tauc plots (Fig. 4) according to the details given by Rusdi et al. [13].
The band gap value obtained agrees with Kumar et al. [4] who obtained band gap energies of nano sized MgO in the range of 5.0 to 6.2 eV.
The band gap value obtained for both samples are smaller than the bulk MgO obtained by Kurth et al. (7.8 eV) [14].

For example, the i-Al6Cu2Fe icosahedral quasicristallline phase from Al-Cu-Fe diagram phase in equilibrium has a contained high of aluminum at 700 oC.
This phase also coexist with Al(Cu,Fe) phase, whose structure is type B2 [9-13].
Energy-dispersive X-ray spectrum (EDS) spectrum given in Fig 3c shows that the powders are composed of Al, Cu and Fe as expected.
