Determination of real space residual stress distributions σij(z) of surface
treated materials with diffraction methods
Part II: Energy dispersive approach
I.
The non-destructive assessment of residual stress gradients in the near surface region of some ten to some hundred microns is of great importance in materials science in respect of surface treated materials or in-situ investigations.
Neutron methods used for sampling the volume of bulk materials with rather large strain gauges of about 2 x 2 x 2 mm3 will not be considered.

The solid state method is the oldest and still the most commonly used method for preparing phosphor materials.
Materials and Methodology SrAl2O4 doped with Eu2+ and co-doped with Dy3+ were prepared by solid state reaction approach using SrCO3, (Aldrich, 99.9 %), Al2O3, Eu2O3 (Aldrich, 99.99 %) and Dy2O3 (Aldrich, 99.99 %) as the starting materials.
The raw materials were mixed for first 30 minutes by dry milling and continued for another 30 minutes by wet milling.
Oxidation attack here causes geometry changes without damaging the materials in depth.

Abstract: In this paper, titanium tetrachloride with inorganic salts as raw materials in the experiment, TiO2 is prepared by the hydrolyzation method in (NH4)2SO4-modified TiCl4 solution, the maximal photocatalytic activity is observed at the mole ratio of TiCl4: (NH4)2SO4=1:2, the water-bath temperature of 90℃.
Introduction Nanoparticles and nanostructural materials have been considered an attractive family of materials over the last decades due to their novel properties that are not present in the bulk.

Introduction
Plastics are nowadays one of the most commonly used materials due to their many unique characteristics such as low density, low cost, good corrosion resistance and ease of manufacturing.
In most plastics processing sites energy bills generally represent the third highest variable cost after materials and direct labour [3].
Different types of plastic materials have different specific energy requirement for processing.
