Mokheimar et al. [4] and Ma et al. [5] have used a simple elastic model to evaluate the elastic deformations of the solid liner (rigid bush case).
The same model has been used by Lin et al. [6] to calculate the static characteristics of long flexible porous journal bearings.
Lin et al. have obtained the same results as those of Mokheimer et al. [4] and Ma et al. [5] in the rigid bearing case.
Boubendir et al. [8, 9] were interested to calculate numerically the porous journal bearing characteristics taking into account the thermal effects.
El Gamal.

Gold NRs are commonly synthesized by using the seed-mediated wet chemical growth method, which was developed by Murphy et al. [21, 22] and El-Sayed et al. [13].
The trend of the redshift of the longitudianl SPR wavelength with increase of the H2O2 amount is consistant with the results described by Xu et al. [30], who used H2O2 as the weak reducer in the CTAB single surfactant system for the seed-mediated synthesis of gold NRs.
In addition, Liz-Marzán et al. [36] pointed out that the molecules on the lateral faces of gold NRs facilitates the preferential deposition of gold atoms at the ends of gold NRs, resulting in gold NRs with a larger aspect ratio.

The results of Forsberg et al. [6] are also shown for
reference.
Harima et al. [5] have already observed this effect on bulk 6H-SiC substrates.
