Dishwasher corrosion of glass and the resulting formation of unacceptable appearance limits the lifetime of glass tableware in private households and even more in professional catering business where constant replacement of glass tableware is a considerable cost factor.
Introduction Although glass is considered to be a material with high chemical durability, when contacted with water vapor, glass articles may undergo some changes at the surface because of atmospheric corrosion which is also called "weathering" effect due to unsuitable warehouse or household stock conditions.

The control bars are paired with water and cement type 1 compliant with ASTM C150.
During both AMBTs, the following liquid solutions were formulated for sample immersions: Solution 1: 80±2°C H2O only (water only); Solution 2: 80±2°C 1N NaOH (water + sodium hydroxide).
To protect the samples from moisture loss, they are placed in a plain water bath with enough volume to submerge the samples’ bodies and wire racks to ensure water-surface contact on all sides.
The water bath is sealed in its heat-resistant container, which allows the water to be set and regulated at an 80±2°C temperature for 24 hours.

The wood decaying fungi need three major components to grow: wood substrate, oxygen, and water.
The only component that can be controlled is the presence (or absence) of water.
At that point, wood cell walls are fully saturated, but there is no water in lumens.
Visual evaluation requires a well-trained professional with knowledge of wood science.
The relative water vapor pressure fluctuates greatly with the temperature and amount of water being moved into or out of the environment.

The main clean-tech investment nowadays is energy-related (77% of clean-tech venture capital was invested in the energy field in 2010, WWF, 2012) such as in energy efficiency and renewable, yet it covers diverse sectors including agriculture and nutrition, air quality, enabling technologies, environmental IT, material and nano-technology, energy-tech (energy-related generation, storage, efficiency and infrastructure); materials recovery and recycling, manufacturing/industrial, transportation and logistics, and water purification and management.
The National Venture Capital Association (NVCA) defines venture capital as “money provided by professionals who invest alongside management in young, rapidly growing companies that have the potential to develop into significant economic contributions [13]”.
