With numeric simulation technology in different conditions such as different thickness and different strength combination of TWB’s materials, the forming limit depth (FLD) of tailor welded blanks is analyzed.
The simulation result indicates that, when use different material and thickness blank for welding, the deformation of TWB depends on strength ratio and thickness ratio of two kinds of materials.
