Failure-mode based structural optimization design has been proposed in this paper, while the purpose of optimization is to achieve the best economic performance indicators in certain material and technical conditions.
The design objective is to minimize the material cost and the structural failure modes.

Based on the homogeneous material calculation method, converting the area of FRP bars into concrete area through the elastic modulus ratio, .Figure 2 shows the section conversion before and after cracking.

Because metal honeycomb materials have high plasticity, and the problem of strain rate sensitivity is not conducted for quasi-static compression simulation, metal honeycomb material can be regarded as ideal elasto-plastic material.
The specifications of honeycombs mainly depend on its t and l values, where t denotes the thickness of foil materials, and l the side length of honeycomb cell element.
The plastic collapse stress is metal honeycombs platform stress, which is related to t and l as well as the yield stress of basis materials.
The experiment used honeycomb cells are all hexagon honeycomb samples whose materials are 3003H18.
