For each diamond, the total worn area of the effective edges (the cutting edges which perform actual dressing action) was measured and computed by the Measurement Tools of Tian-Ya Company, Taiwan.

Silver nitrate (AgNO3), (Tianjin Tian Gan Chemical Industry), sodium citrate (Na3C6H5O7•2H2O), (Beijing Chemical Works), sulfuric acid (H2SO4), (Baiyin Liangyou Chemical Co., Ltd), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), (Tianjin Fuyu Fine Chemical Co., Ltd), 3-Aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES, 97%), (Nanjing Capatue Chemical Co., Ltd), [3-(2-Aminoethyl)aminopropyl]trimethoxysilane (AEAPTES, 97%), (WD Silicone Co., Ltd), were used as perchased without further purification.
