Fork joint material is set as 40CrMo, parameters are: elasticity modulus E = 2×1011 Pa, Poisson ratio μ= 0.3, yield limit σs=500 MPa, shear modulus E=2×109 Pa.
Fork joint material is set as ZG40CrNiMo, yield limit σs=700 MPa, fork joint has yield, and from fig 4 we can obviously see that it yield in a large range.
It can be concluded that fork joint material yield before transfer torque reach rated torque, load capacity cannot reach rated torque.
