Keywords Wastewater treatment Design of extension project Efficient sedimentation tank Biological Aerated Filter
Abstract Efficient sedimentation tank and Biological Aerated Filter are introduced in extension project in Wuhan Huangpu road WWTP,the first-stage project pretreatment capacity of which is 10×104m3/d.This process provides high treatment efficiency while occupying a small footprint, noise reduction and has little environmental impact. The effluent quality meets the first level A criteria specified in Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant(GB18918-2002).This project demonstrates
ten grids; size of single set: L×B×H=52×41.5×7.25m; ⑨size of single grid: L×B×H=14.6×10×7.25 ①Design scale: 5,420 m3/h; ②sludge concentration: 3,800mg/L; ③sludge age of SBR: 18d; ④available water depth: 5m; ⑤total volume: 50,000 m3; ⑥sludge load of SBR: 0.11 kgBOD/(kgMLSS•d); ⑦total oxygen demand: 20,833 m3/h; ⑧size of structure: totally divided into six groups; ⑨size of single group: L×B×H=64×35×5m Advantages ①The settling time of high-efficiency settling tank is 8~12 times of that of conventional settling tank;② BOD solvent loading of biological aerated tank is high, 5~10 times of that of conventional biological treatment, so it covers a smaller area than that of conventional secondary biological treatment; ③the resistance of the process to the impact load is high, the treatment effect is good, and the effluent water quality is good[1]; ④biofilm formation is easy, and the starting is fast. ①The process flow is simple; ②the secondary settling tank is not needed, and the investment in civil
engineering and equipment is relatively lower; ③the tank is in idle state in most of the time, thus saving energy consumption.
