Abstract:A tunnel in Chengde collapsed several times and cracks existed in the second lining.
Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a very useful civil engineeringtool; it can provide information on the medium and details of a tunnel[1,2].
In the tunnelling sector, the use of rock bolts for reinforcement of tunnel roofs has increased steadily in the past four decades [4,5] and has now become the primary support system in this underground engineering.

Abstract: The dynamic stability behavior of laminated composite shells subjected to hygrothermal loadings are studied in the present investigation.
Introduction Composite materials are being increasingly used in aerospace, civil, naval and other high-performance engineering applications due to their light weight, high-specific strength and stiffness, excellent thermal characteristics, ease in fabrication and other significant attributes.
The parametric resonance in cylindrical shells under periodic loads has attracted much attention due to its detrimental and de-stabilizing effects in many engineering applications.
