The results show that the stiffer materials may always give retardation effect on stress intensity factors when a crack approaching interfaces.
On the other hand, the softer materials may always give enhancement effect on stress intensity factors.
Since they are checked to achieve a good approximation for most combination materials, this demonstrates the accuracy and the efficiency of the proposed method.

Introduction Currently, the research works in the field of particulate materials in the world are dedicated primarily to computer simulations.
Theory The theoretical background of mixing particulate materials issues from the theory of stress equilibrium of particulate materials and this state may by described by the Mohrʼs circle theory.
In the case of non-cohesive particulate materials k=1,5 is chosen, and for cohesive particulate materials k=2, and the Eq. 11 applies.

INTRODUCTION Currently, the research on new materials exhibiting cross effects, coupled by the mechanical and magnetic fields are directed to combine these materials with other materials which exhibit completely different properties.
Most of these new materials are based on polymer matrices.
Polymer-based magnetoelectric (ME) materials are one of the most interesting, challenging and innovative materials and thus these materials are in a field of interest of many research centers.

Researchers are fabricating composite materials using various filler materials to describe the wear performance of the composite, used as a machine component in industrial applications.
Composite materials show an excellent strength and less weight compared to existing materials in industrial applications whereas wear is an important property of the machine components.
Figure 3 shows the pull out and poor bonding of the glass fibers without any addition of filler materials.
