Materials and Methods Materials.
Physical characterisation of materials Scanning electron microscopy (SEM).
Such results clearly demonstrate that bioactive chitosan-based materials can be obtained by simply combining chitosan with BG.

It would be useful for research in the field of building materials to correlate the results of the characterization of EAFS with other types of slag with the aim of improving the potential for partial replacement of cement in the matrix.
The slag can also be used as binders in mixtures of bio-based building materials.
Cementation of sand in bio-brick materials by microbial precipitation of calcium carbonate (MICP) is a new technology published by (Li et al., 2020), the compressive strength of bio-bricks treated with MICP and addition of fiber has been tested.
The perspective of this work is to introduce Electric Arc Furnace Slag (EAFS) as cementitious materials for the production of bio-bricks with the addition of vegetable fibers.
The precise determination of the constituents of the two studied materials requires the reduction in size of the particles to obtain different fineness.

The effect of the inhomogeneity of material properties on the quenching residual stress is negligible.
The difference is mainly caused by the inaccuracy of the FEM model, inaccuracy of the material properties used in the FEM model, and inhomogeneity of the material properties, etc.

The tensile stress-strain response was determined for both types of materials.
Two types of materials were studied, i.e. cast and prepared by LPBF.
The microstructure of LPBF material is composed of cells / melting pools typical for materials prepared by this type of AM (Fig. 1c).

The analyses consider the material and geometric nonlinearities.
This requires the analysis to include both the geometric and material nonlinearities [11].
The elastic-perfectly plastic material model is employed.

The insulating materials divide the inner from the outer surface.
As the assumption that heat transfer limit of heat pipe is not considered, the boundary condition of inner of heat pipe can be set to dummy materials except considering the materials attributes of heat pipe.

The designed plasma facing materials for the divertor-components in ITER are up to now carbon (graphite or CFC) and tungsten.
Brazing of the functionally graded W/Cu interlayers to CuCrZr and CFC materials resulted in adjoined mockups.
The interlayers and the joints should be able to withstand the residual stresses produced during joining of materials with different CTEs, creating a stresses distribution with low value at the interface with the more fragile, less resistant, low CTE protective materials.
The resulting composites and interlayer might be able to reduce the stresses in joining of heterogeneous materials.
