Experimental Field Condition
The research site was located in Shiping forest farm, Fengdu County, Chongqing Province, China.
Materials and Methods Collecting 2000 ripe and plump Castanopsis fargesii and Castanopsis carlesii seeds respectively when the seeds fell off naturally, and setting forest gaps (oval, about 57 m2) manually, then we carried out Castanopsis fargesii and Castanopsis carlesii seeds burying experiment respectively under two forest conditions(gaps and under-canopy), and burial depth in the soil was 0.5cm.
