Currently, plates made of laminated composite material are been progressively used in numerous civil engineering structures, aerospace and automotive parts as they offer superior stiffness, impact resistance, and durability when compared with rest of the materials.
Modal analysis is a technique used in mechanical engineering and structural analysis to examine the natural frequencies and respective mode shapes.
By identifying these natural frequencies and corresponding deformations, engineers can better understand how a structure will behave under different conditions and design structures to avoid resonance, which can cause unwanted vibrations and damage.
Its circular shape, when thoughtfully engineered, promotes even stress distribution, reducing the risk of structural failures, especially in the context of a suspension strut for an automobile chassis.
